Ginny Carr: Interpreting the Colors of the West
The work of Ginny Carr reflects a continuing interest in the Native Americans of the South West with western landscapes as a backdrop. Ginny attempts to capture her vision of the South West by focusing on the relationship between the female figure and the environment's effect on her.
Ginny has completed works of large scale flowers in addition to drawings, and abstract paintings. Her works use colors that show the continuing influence of the American west. She has also worked with pastel, oils, watercolors, ink, and charcoal.
